Dr. Shirley Cheong has over 30 years of experience as a dentist. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 1988 with First Class Honours. In 1993, she received her certificate from the National Dental Examining Board of Canada and started her private practice in North York, Toronto. After co-founding Yonge & Steeles Dental Care in 2002 along with her husband, Dr. Kenny Chan, they both decided to start ALFIE Dentistry in as a new practice without compromise.
Dr. Shirley is always looking to improve herself, and has been continuously learning new methods of providing the best treatments and care possible. For over 20 years, she has pursued continuing education, and is currently a fellow of both the International College of Cranio-Mandibular Disorders and the Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies. She has lectured internationally on neuromuscular approaches and brings her teaching experience to each and every one of her patients. She is also an expert in the novel field of digital dentistry, and has over 15 years of experience in complete smile makeovers and full mouth reconstruction.
Dr. Shirley is a firm believer in personalized dentistry. No two patients are the same to her, and she prides herself on her commitment to providing individualized solutions to the problems that her patients bring to her. She has a warm and caring style of patient interaction, and works together with her patients to achieve their goals based on their preferences.
In her spare time, Dr. Shirley pursues a wide variety of interests including cooking, woodworking, and Japanese flower arrangement.
