Benefits of a Zirconia Crown

Zirconia is one of the strongest materials we can use to make dental restorations. In the above video, we are loading up a crown into the CEREC speedfire to sinter (or bake - as we call it :D).

Historically, zirconia was mostly used for back teeth because, while strong, they didn't really look that realistic - at least not as realistic as empress. But that is changing. We recently received a shipment of new monolithic zirconia blocks that look great! We can't wait to see it in a patient's smile!!
