Invisalign for Teens

Invisalign started in the late 1990's and have been evolving their technology and impressing millions of users worldwide ever since. We take digital impressions (so there's no need for gunky putty in your mouth) and you get to see a computerized preview of your finished smile before treatment even begins. Not every dental office is required to offer these services, but your trust and satisfaction is our top priority. It is used to treat cases such as crossbite, open bite, overbite, underbite, crowding and spacing.
Parents are often concerned about putting their teen onto Invisalign, in fear of non-compliance with wearing the trays as well as the possibility of lost aligners. They would ask, "Wouldn't it be better to get traditional brackets and wires instead, so that they can't 'forget' to wear them or 'accidentally lose them'?"
These are both valid questions, but one that studies do not support - One survey of 78 orthodontists showed that teenagers are pretty serious about getting straight teeth and that they do use their aligners for the recommended 20-22 hours a day. When in doubt, all trays are equipped with a blue compliance indicator to let us know whether they've been wearing the aligners or not.
In terms of losing trays, aligner replacements can easily be ordered through our office - usually without requiring another digital impression scan.
