Valentine's Day Chocolates?
Go ahead and enjoy your Valentine's Day chocolates, LOL. Here are some tips, though, to stay cavity-free!
1) Rinse your mouth with water after consuming sweets.
If you have the time, go ahead and brush after 20 minutes. If you have lots of time, floss as well. But, at the very least, rinse your mouth :) . With water (no other liquids please - I'm lookin' at you, fruit juices, LOL).
2) Regift some of it!
Shhhh, we won't tell anyone!
3) Sounds like the worst combo ever, but eat some cheese after the chocolate.
I know. I know. That sounds completely 'yuck'. But, various resources say that cheese helps to protect the enamel. Some sources say that cheese balances out the pH (so it's a less-acidic environment, and therefore, safer for your teeth).
4) Make a chocolate face mask!
LOL - this is probably not recommended for chocolate with 'things' in it (like wine or nuts or something), but chocolate has been said to be beneficial for your skin in different beauty circles. Here are a couple of recipes!
5) And if none of these ideas seem appealing to you, just stay regular with your routine cleaning appointments.
